Description

A healthy twist on the classic holiday drink, this Probiotic Eggnog Recipe is rich, creamy, and packed with gut-friendly probiotics.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)
  • 1 cup plain kefir (or unsweetened yogurt)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until pale and thick.
  2. Slowly temper in warm milk and cream over low heat, cooking gently until it coats the back of a spoon.
  3. Let the custard cool completely.
  4. Fold in kefir (or yogurt) and vanilla extract gently.
  5. Add nutmeg and cinnamon, mixing well.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
  7. Serve in glasses and garnish as desired.

Notes

For dairy-free options, use coconut milk and coconut kefir. Ensure probiotic ingredients are added after cooling to preserve live cultures.
