A healthy twist on the classic holiday drink, this Probiotic Eggnog Recipe is rich, creamy, and packed with gut-friendly probiotics.
Ingredients

- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)
- 1 cup plain kefir (or unsweetened yogurt)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until pale and thick.
- Slowly temper in warm milk and cream over low heat, cooking gently until it coats the back of a spoon.
- Let the custard cool completely.
- Fold in kefir (or yogurt) and vanilla extract gently.
- Add nutmeg and cinnamon, mixing well.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
- Serve in glasses and garnish as desired.
Notes
For dairy-free options, use coconut milk and coconut kefir. Ensure probiotic ingredients are added after cooling to preserve live cultures.
