- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup kefir
- 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add in eggs, vanilla extract, and kefir, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in melted chocolate and mint extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a minty touch, top with crushed peppermint candies or serve with mint-infused whipped cream.
