Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the milk kefir with the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda/yeast, and salt).
- If using yeast, activate it with warm water and sweetener before mixing.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a crispier crust, bake in a Dutch oven or add a pan of water in the oven to create steam. Experiment with different flours and add-ins like seeds or herbs for variations.
