Description

A lighter twist on classic blue cheese dressing, made with yogurt for a tangy, creamy, and healthier option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill or chives
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, milk (or buttermilk), apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Mash about two-thirds of the blue cheese until almost smooth, then fold in the remaining crumbles for texture.
  3. Add the crumbled blue cheese to the yogurt mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, and salt to taste. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.

Notes

For a thinner dressing, use regular plain yogurt. Ensure blue cheese and yogurt are fresh for best results.
