Description

A healthy and comforting twist on the classic chai tea latte, infused with gingerbread spices and coconut water kefir.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 whole cardamom pods
  • 1/2 cup coconut water kefir
  • Sweetener of choice (maple syrup, honey, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a simmer in a small saucepan.
  2. Add black tea bags, ginger, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods.
  3. Let steep for five minutes, then strain out the spices and tea bags.
  4. Add coconut water kefir and sweetener.
  5. Whisk until frothy, then pour into your favorite mug.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spices and sweetener to your liking. Experiment with toppings like whipped coconut cream or ground cinnamon for added flavor.
