Description

A unique and delicious twist on a Valentine’s dessert featuring strawberries, kefir, and chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup kefir
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Crushed nuts or pretzels (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the tops off the strawberries, then mash half of them to a thick, jammy texture.
  2. Mix the mashed strawberries into the kefir, adding sugar if desired.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave carefully, adding coconut oil if it gets thick.
  4. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the strawberry-kefir base.
  5. Toast oats, brown sugar, and butter in a dry pan until golden, then scatter over the chocolate.
  6. For variations, swap kefir with dairy-free options or try different fruits.
  7. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
